Approach

collaborative, self-reflection, focused on change

Therapy is a collaborative process where we explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with curiosity and honesty. Through self-reflection, we identify patterns that may be holding you back, helping you gain deeper awareness and a clearer sense of direction.

Initial Consultation

I have limited availability for clinical sessions, which are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. When you contact me, I’ll ask about your preference for in-person or online sessions via Zoom, as well as whether you need daytime or evening slots at a regular weekly time. If you plan to use health insurance, I will also check if I can accommodate your provider.

If a suitable slot is available, we will arrange an initial consultation to discuss your concerns, explore whether we are a good fit, and go over the practical aspects of starting therapy. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a feel for my approach.

If I believe a different therapeutic approach would be more beneficial for you, I will provide guidance on alternative options. My priority is ensuring you receive the support that best suits your needs.

Psychological Assessment & Therapy

Assessment: Understanding Your Needs

Assessment is an essential step in therapy, helping us build a clear picture of your concerns, background, and experiences to tailor the best approach for you. This process explores:

Presenting Issues – Identifying the key challenges, symptoms, and concerns bringing you to therapy.

Life Context – Understanding your personal, work, and social environment, along with significant life events.

Family & Relationship History – Exploring past and present relationships to uncover patterns that shape your experiences.

Previous Therapy – Reviewing past treatment to understand what has or hasn’t worked for you.

Risk & Well-being – Ensuring your safety through a thorough risk assessment when necessary.

Therapy Goals – Defining what you want to achieve, guiding our work together.

This collaborative process helps us create a therapy plan that is focused, relevant, and meaningful to your needs.
